Behind the Blue is Blue Knight's Short Documentary series, I was tasked with videography, editing and creation
of the thumbnails.
The Life of a Touring Videographer
Being a touring videographer is not easy, an average Drum Corps day is 12 hours! I split my time with editing in the morning and afternoon and recording the Corps in the evening.
On Competition days, I would be recording a majority of the day, carrying heavy equipment on top of posting live on Blue Knight's social media.
Not to mention living on a bus for two months straight with other coworkers! But the experience taught me resilience and tenacity.
A Day in Arizona
While we were in Sedona, Arizona, I was contacted by the Front Ensemble students to photograph their member reveal for social media
Uniform Reveal
One of the first projects I was tasked with was producing the Uniform Reveal video. I was given a three day notice to be able to put together a script, storyboard, and shot-list. We were limited to two hours to shoot and not to mention the freezing cold weather at night. I used my Sony a6700 along with my DJI RS4 to shoot. The Uniform Reveal was one of many sponsored videos I did that was also played on the Jumbotron at the University of Colorado!
Show Reveal
Simultaneously as I was working on the uniform reveal, I was tasked with creating the show reveal to be posted onto social media. I composited together a series of water videos along with animating a pre-made show graphic.
Promark Collaboration
Promark was one of the many sponsorship videos I did with Blue Knights. I was stationary camera as well as in charge of coordinating with the second camera as well as instructional staff. The videos we took were sent off to Promark to be edited and were posted onto their social media pages including their official Youtube Channel

Behind the Blue is the short documentary series that features various sections or departments from the Blue Knights organization. My role was to write interview questions, film, and edit the content. An additional challenge included filming in a way that allowed for both horizontal and vertical use.
